What to do in Cafayate by bike: 1, 2 or 3 days

A plan for every day you have, from town to the canyons, without wasting time organising.

One day: the town and a canyon

In the morning, the City Bike Tour: 10 km at an easy pace past the Wine Museum, a goat cheese farm and Finca El Recreo winery. It takes 3 hours and it's easy.

In the afternoon, if you still have energy, rent an MTB and ride on your own with the route map we give you.

Two days: Quebrada de las Conchas

Day two is our most requested ride: 20 km along Route 68 past Garganta del Diablo, the Amphitheatre, Los Castillos and El Sapo. With transfers, guide and support, stopping at every formation.

Three days: wineries or mountains

For day three there are three options. The Yacochuya Bike Wine Tour rides down through vineyards past San Pedro de Yacochuya, Piattelli and Esteco wineries. Quebrada de las Flechas, further north on Route 40, goes through Angastaco and its viewpoints. And the La Cieneguita descent starts at 2,900 m: 28 km of gravel and trails.

All of them can be done by MTB or E-bike. With an E-bike the climbs feel easy, so any of the three works for a family trip.
